National Spots

National Spots were distributed in FPO, MPO, MJ18, FP40 and MP40 to European Countries Group A (Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, United Kingdom). The spot allocation for each of these countries is based on the number of eligible players (according to the PDGA data in September 2019) in each of these divisions. The detailed rules describing the spots distribution formula can be found below.

Each country can nominate their players for National Spots freely according to their own nomination rules, as long as the players fulfill the basic EDGF eligibility requirements as per as per 2020 EDGC/EMDGC Format & Standards and 2020 EDGC/EMDGC Spot Distribution Rules, and particularly minimum current PDGA  rating (at the time of the players registration) – 800 for players in MPO and MP40 and 600 for players in FPO and FP40. The list of criteria for nomination of players in individual European countries can be found in this on-line document.

All National Spots (and also Individual Spots) will need to be claimed by the countries by February 18, 2020 and paid by March 3, 2020. Players may be registered during the registration that will open in January 2020. However,  the National Spots (division specific) may remain unnamed after this deadline until August 1, 2020. Any unclaimed spots after February 18, unpaid spots after March 3, and unnamed spots after August 1, will be be released to the waiting list.

For the first time, all participating countries can bring also their substitute players to 2020 EDGC/EMDGC. These players may fill in for vacated National Spots even at the last minute, i.e. right before the start of the competition.

Czech Disc Golf Scene

In late 2010 we discovered disc golf. And we fell in love. We made it our goal to make it the next Czech national sport. We kept in our minds ever since, building over 60 disc golf courses, organizing dozens of tournaments and teaching thousands of disc golfers. European Disc Golf Championship was the obvious next step and we are very glad we got the chance.
